Headed back to National Seminar! 8-Bit Handbell will again be exhibiting at the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar event in Hartford, CT. We are also hoping to again combine our space with Two Tacos High like we did last year in Texas (photo to the right)!

There are a number of new pieces that will be ready for purchase by the time summer rolls around, however, I am super excited to share that 8-Bit Handbell has just released its first video game piece, the Super Mario Bros. Theme! This is also special as it is for handbell trio. You can find it here or here!

Well, National Seminar has come and gone, and as expected, was such a great time! Five pieces from the 8-Bit Handbell catalog were represented during various performances throughout the week, and four of those were direct requests/commissions specifically for this event! First, the Houston Bronze Ensemble premiered my arrangement of "Happy Together" by The Turtles for their concert, The Austin Handbell Ensemble requested an arrangement of "Day One" from INTERSTELLAR to accompany their performance of my arrangement "No Time for Caution," and then Distinctly Teen included two arrangements specifically prepared for this performance, "I Ain't Worried" by OneRepublic, and the Internet sensation song "Monkeys Spinning Monkeys." It was a very busy week, but also very fulfilling! Looking forward to Hartford next year!

Hello, National Seminar in Irving, Texas! 8-Bit Handbells and Two Tacos High have joined forces and are having a great time in the Handbell Commons talking about anything handbells (and tacos). Come by if you're here!

Hello, Area 1 Festival/Conference! (and everyone else too!). The booth is up and I'm ready to talk handbell pop/rock music! Of course, just stop by to chat, too! If you are viewing this site on your mobile device, the menu can be found in the upper left corner. Check there for available titles, information about me, or ways to keep in touch!

I'm looking forward to teaching and conducting this week at Area 1.

Here's what I'm teaching:

Here's what I'm Conducting:

The Bronze Festival Choir is a brand-spanking new arrangement of a Broadway tune (not saying what it is as it's a surprise!) which will premier at the final concert on Sunday.

Oh! NEW MUSIC! Taylor Swift's "Style" is up! This was arranged for my 7th/8th grade handbell ensemble for a performance during this past school year.

Find it here!

I reluctantly give thanks to Amazon for this, but..... "Take on Me" is now available for handbells! It's a bit of a doozy, especially at tempo, but lot's of fun. Check it out here!

Some exciting news to share! My arrangement of "160 BPM" will be one of the pieces performed at Distinctly Bronze East in 2022! I'm very proud of this arrangement and cannot wait to hear what this sounds like on this scale!

In other news, I *finally* completed and uploaded my arrangement of Erasure's version of "Gaudete" to Sheet Music Plus.  This one was originally arranged for my 7th/8th graders back in 2016! It is now available for everyone! I hope to have a compatible choral and piano part available by winter of 2022.

As the world (too) slowly triumphs over COVID, one thing about this time of year remains the same...choosing repertoire. If you are still on the lookout for something for the upcoming Christmas season, take a look to the right! I currently only have three pieces published in this genre, but that number will definitely rise over the next few years! The "Ukrainian Carol of the Bells" has been out for some time now, but my most recent pieces are "Santa Baby" through Jubilate Music and "Mele Kalikimaka" through 8-Bit Handbell Publishing.

Ha! I finished up one more publication before seminar. Check out Sia's "Cheap Thrills," arranged for 3-7 octaves, Level 3+.

And we're back! We've got an updated website as well as new music! The most recent releases are arrangements of The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights," One Direction's hit "What Makes You Beautiful" (this year's Distinctly Teen choice at National Seminar in Phoenix, Arizona), and an arrangement of "Rain On Me," the hit collaboration between Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, for the Pop/Rock Music Track that I am leading at National Seminar. Click on the "Tunes" link above to see everything available from 8-Bit Handbell Publishing as well as other publishers.

More arrangements are in the works to be released over the summer!
